Blanche C. Hertzler

Blanche Catherine (Grosh) Hertzler, of East Berlin, PA, passed away at home April 19, 2024, at the age of 95 years, 3 months, and 1 day.

Born January 18, 1929, in Hellam, PA, she was the daughter of the late Harvey and Laura (Hursh) Grosh.  She was the wife of the late Leroy H. Hertzler who passed away in April, 2021. They had been married for 71 years.

Blanche was a member of the Hersheys Mennonite Church.  She is survived by three sons and three daughters: Elvin of Ormond Beach, FL; Laura Rohrer and husband Jason of East Berlin, PA, with whom she resided; Joyce Bange of Three Springs, PA; Linda Grove of Thomasville, PA; Glenn Hertzler of Columbia, PA; and Paul Hertzler of Gettysburg, PA; 25 grandchildren; 90 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren; one sister: Miriam Burkhart, wife of Clair of Cochranville, PA; one sister-in-law: Shirley Grosh. 

She was preceded in death by three brothers: Harvey, John, and James; two sons-in-law: Paul Bange and Dale Grove; one daughter-in-law: Anna Mae (Slaymaker) Hertzler; four grandchildren; and one great grandchild.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM on Thursday, April 25, 2024, at the Kralltown Mennonite Church with the burial following at Hersheys Mennonite Church Cemetery.  Viewings will be from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM,  Wednesday, April 24, 2024 at the church.
